During the Special Outlet Days from 27 November to 5 December 2025, we were delighted by the strong interest and lively attendance. A total of 235 visitors took part in the fully booked guided tours at Jakob Schlaepfer or Forster Willi, gaining exclusive insights into our world of embroidery and textile craftsmanship. In addition, around 370 outlet customers visited us on site to explore our collections. The Special Outlet Days proved to be a great success and a valuable opportunity for direct exchange with our community.

For 200 years, the St. Gallen Children’s Festival has been a cherished tradition, full of unforgettable moments passed down from generation to generation. To celebrate the strong connection between this special festival and the textile history of the region, embroidery manufacturers Forster Rohner, Jakob Schlaepfer, Inter-Spitzen, and the couture atelier "Die Manufaktur" launched a special initiative. The people of St. Gallen were invited to share their most beautiful Children’s Festival memories – in return, they received up to two meters of high-quality St. Gallen embroidery for their personal festival outfits.

A Kaleidoscope of Memories
The submitted stories revealed the role that fashion and embroidery have played over the decades in the Children’s Festival. They spoke of wedding dresses altered for the event, of first great loves that were to be impressed with a special outfit, and of fashion milestones – like the girls who, in 1975, participated in the parade for the first time in trousers.

A New Chapter in Children’s Festival History
To conclude the initiative, a photoshoot was organized on the day of the festival for all participants. In their new outfits, enhanced with St. Gallen embroidery, they were able to be photographed – as a memento of a special day and the beginning of a new story, which they may one day pass on.

Forster Rohner AG, Jakob Schlaepfer AG, and Inter-Spitzen AG have teamed up to support five primary schools with St. Gallen embroideries for the Children’s Festival.
